Robert Kunisch, DC and Debi Kunisch, LMT, CLHRP
Dr. Robert Kunisch has been a chiropractor since 1982 and has had a practice in Taylor, Texas since 1987. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, he graduated Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. He received his certification in Clinical Acupuncture from Texas Chiropractic College in 2006. Dr. Kunisch’s philosophy is to treat the whole body. In his Chiropractic practice, he uses gentle, “hands-on” manipulation and relaxing percussive therapy, along with Egoscue exercises and stretches to eliminate pain and restore function. In addition, he offers Acupuncture Services and individualized Nutrition Programs for those interested.
Dr. Kunisch is married to Debi, and they own and operate Kunisch Wellness Center together.
Debi Kunisch is from Grapevine, Texas and lived on the island of Guam for a few years as a child. She has been a registered massage therapist since 1990. After prior careers with Southwest Airlines and Diet Center, Inc., Debi completed her training at The Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage in Austin, Texas. Debi has trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. She also has extensive training in Prenatal Massage and has been certified in Spa Services.
Debi and Dr. Kunisch have two grown children—Celeste and Chad. Celeste is married to Justin Conlee, and they are both Registered Nurses at local hospitals in Austin. Celeste and Justin have a baby boy named Truett. Chad is an ordained minister living in San Francisco.
Liz Corn
Liz Corn joined our staff in 2001 after moving to Taylor from Indiana. She has an Associate’s Degree from Temple College. She works closely with Dr. Kunisch as a Chiropractic Assistant, helping provide therapy for patients. The staff members at Kunisch Wellness Center wear many hats, performing different tasks to better serve our patients. Liz has a son, Noah, who attends St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.
Celia Diaz
Celia Diaz joined our staff in 2007. Born and raised in Taylor, she has three beautiful daughters—Christina, Celicia, and Cerena. She attended Southern Careers Institute, and received a diploma as an Administrative Assistant.
Along with scheduling patient services, and assisting Dr. Kunisch, she also serves as coordinator for insurance benefits. You will also see Celia as the hostess of the spa parties.
Shannon Stanfield
From Telephone, Texas, Shannon moved to Taylor in 1998. If she looks familiar, you may have seen her at the front desk at the YMCA in Taylor. She joined our staff as the receptionist in October of 2008.
Shannon enjoys sporting events and spending time with her husband Justin and her three children, Chase, Caitlyn and Jett.
Salina Towery, LMT
Salina Towery is from Taylor, Texas and is a graduate of Austin School of Massage. She has been working at Kunisch Wellness Center since 2003. She does Swedish, Deep Tissue, and is also trained in Spa Services. Salina and her husband Toby have four children—two sons (Hunter and Colton) and two daughters (Rylee and Shaylee). Their children attend Thorndale schools.
Nicole Smith, LMT
Nicole Smith joined our staff 2007. She graduated from Austin School of Massage in San Antonio in 2004. She is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial techniques, and Pre-natal massages, As well as and spa services. She is available at Kunisch Wellness Center throughout the week.
Rex Fuller, LMT
Rex was born on a farm in Southern Indiana. He graduated from Rose-Hulman with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering in 1996. After recovering from nonhodgkins lymphoma in 2000, he sought out the warmer weather and best massage school he could find in Austin, TX. He graduated from Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage.
Rex does an expert Chair Massage and his table massage is usually a combination of Deep tissue, swedish, and sports. He joined the team at Kunisch Wellness Center in 2008.
Lori Seaton, Licenced Esthetician
Lori, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio now calls Austin home. Lori has an Associate of Applied Business with a Major in Business Financial Management, graduating Cum Laude from Cincinnati State Technical & Community College. After 5 years working in Finance and Housing, she decided she wanted a change of pace and focused her career on Skin Care. She completed the Esthetics program at The Academy at Austin, a Paul Mitchell Partner School where she received extensive training in Microdermabrasion, Facials, Waxing and tinting of eye brows and lashes. She has also obtained advanced training in Skin Biology and Chemical Peels and is certified through Physicians Care Alliance, LLC. Lori is available to help each client meet their individual skin care goals, in a relaxing environment.
Teresa Gross, LMT
Teresa is a Nationally Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist offering relaxation and therapeutic massage services, as well as a marketing consultant with a special interest in health and wellness. In her practice, Teresa often applies a combination of Swedish, Sports, and Deep massage strokes, body mobilization techniques, and gentle stretching coupled with a nurturing, compassionate quality of touch to relieve areas of muscle tension and restore well-being. Teresa joined our team in 2009 after graduating from the Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in Austin , Texas . Her professional affiliations include Wisdom at Work and Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
Teresa deeply values learning, healing, and personal growth and enjoys body-mind-spirit studies, yoga, and spending time with friends.
